There has been some sort of ... problem ... with the overseeing organisation, and as a result, all dancers in our area have been given FREE STAMPS!! I think that's brill!! We didn't have to do anything to earn them even. I'm in intermediate now, and have picked up a new jacket for my school costume, AND I've started looking at tartans for my premier kilt. I'm so pleased!!

Things are going well for me. I got my 2nd beginner stamp at my last competition and have now moved into novice!

Well, I must say I'm VERY pleased with the results of my first competition! Everyone did really well; there were massive ties for first; but I won the aggregate! Miss Brown has said that it was very close between me and another danced named Brienne. I suppose I'll just have to work harder next time I have a go at it. It won't be this month unfortunately, as I've been having private lessons with a woman named Elspet, and she's been asked to judge the next competition. Of course all of the other students from my school are free to enter; they haven't been having these privates. It's just me! I suppose that gives me extra time to practice then.

Club Q wasn't that interesting. As I predicted, Rob and Aileen made out all night. I did make friends with a pair or twins named Agnes and Theresa (Nessa and Tessa, they said). They seemed nice albeit a little young.

I competed for the first time this month, and I think I did really well. I won't know until February, but my teacher seemed really pleased afterwards, so I'm feeling very optimistic. I hope I'll at least get a stamp since our school has done very well in competition so far. My friend Aislin even won the aggregate last month; unfortunately, she was unable to dance this time around. Not good for her - but good for me. I made a few mistakes, but there was nothing major. Everyone was very nice though, and I met some lovely people, which is great. I'm in a bit of a rush to make novice; I know it's not ideal, but I'd really like to move up quickly.

In other news, I'm a daft twit who just turned down an AS-01 (possible AS-02) because I wanted to finish out a contract for a job I don't even like. Can you believe that?! I wish I had more of a backbone (is that what that's called?) I wish I could tell my employers to jump off a cliff! I've found something better! What are you going to do now? Har. Har.

Except maybe not so much.

Tomorrow, Rob, Aileen, and I are going to this club called Q, which just recently opened in our area and which hosts "teen nights" for the underaged lot. There's no drinking and possibly a lot of snogging (should be fun for Rob and Aileen who are dating - not so much for single me). I'm looking forward to it though. I could do with a night out.
